Beginning March 9, 2026, the vendor that powers the AANP Help Center will introduce a new security step to help protect users from fraudulent activity when submitting help requests outside of an online contact form. If you use the "Send Us A Note" feature or "Submit a Request" feature you will not receive an email verfication.
- When you submit a request through the online Help Center forms, you will not receive a one-time email asking you to verify your email address.
- If you receive such verification by email, simply open the email and follow the verification instructions.
-
The verification email will have “AANP Help Center” in the subject line, making it easy to identify.
Note: The verification email may be delivered to your spam or junk folder. Some .edu, .gov or yahoo.com email addresses may not receive the automated verification message from AANP. We will reply to your request for help anyway.
What You Should Do?
Continue to use the Help Center as you always have. AANP is here to support you!
Why This Change Is Being Made
The Help Center vendor has observed an increase in abusive activity, where attackers exploit systems to send large volumes of unsolicited help request emails. The new verification step helps prevent this type of abuse by confirming the email address associated with the help request thus improving security for AANP members and customers.
